Liya Goglidze was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, and grew up between Moscow and Vienna.
Goglidze attained her BA in Fashion and Design at Polimoda International School, Florence
and continued her studies at IED, Milan.She then completed her education in Visual Arts and
History of Art at Wien University, Vienna, while simultaneously working in contemporary local
art galleries.
Eponymous women’s ready-to-wear line LIYΛ was established in 2017 and premiered at the
Mercedes Benz Tbilisi Fashion week.
LIYΛ combines everything Goglidze advocates for: her roots, her heritage, her education, her
ethics. Born in a family of artists, cinema and theatre actors, with an assorted background and
always on the move—traveling across Georgia, Russia, Austria—she internalized art right from
the start, and pursued her vocation heartily.
